When the Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz was accused of using performance enhancing drugs in 2003, he was reported to have taken female hormone substances that masked the steroids but showed female results as side effects. One didn’t mask properly and he got caught.
One sports commentator said “I was going to be harsh on David Ortiz but the doctors reported he shows signs of pregnancy. I want to be gentle during this of his awaiting a blessed event.”
