I once thought that this was a laudable accomplishment as well. But then I realized that this is the expected MINIMUM duty of the senate leader worth his salt! He isn't going above and beyond by such a record, but is just doing was he should be doing by virtue of his Party affiliation.
And he did just that. The only two Presidents to have appointed more SCOTUS in 4 years were Taft and Harrison.
Miotch pick-pocketed the White Hut and kept that scumbag Obama from making a 3rd appointment because of Miotch's wiliness, the same thing people find disagreeable.
After 8 years of that Mau Mau, Miotch held a bare GOP Senate majority together in one of the most underrecognized acts of legislative defiance in modern history. F Obama, F Garland.
On the other hand, Reid kept Shrub over 8 years to just 2 appointments, one of them very bad (Roberts).
And lol, there have only been 3 GOP Majority Leaders this century: Lott, Frist, and McConnell, so there is almost nothing to base a comparison on. But you keep on flappin' them gums while you're getting schooled, I got all day...
