A grand jury was formed and a Democrat DA presented the ham sandwich as evidence. The man was indicted and the indictment went to trial. The man professed his innocence. The Democrat DA presented his ham sandwich to a new jury at the trial. They jury found the man innocent. This really enraged the Democrat DA. The Democrat DA was going to get this man, one way or another.
About a year later, another little girl was brutally murdered. The Democrat DA knew exactly who murdered the girl so he gathered his ham sandwich and went through the entire process again. The man was yet again found not guilty.
The people were upset because the Democrat DA clearly targeted the same man who was obviously innocent. Ham sandwiches do not murder. So the people elected a Republican DA. A little while later another little girl was murdered. This time investigators had their man. There were multiple eyewitnesses, DNA evidence, and the murder weapon, a bloody knife. The Republican DA decided to not pursue the matter because it would cheapen the process.
