Well, last I looked, the US government hadn't openly locked the ability of people to access their bank accounts because of their political stances.

What he went through seems to be a species of what Europeans refer to as workplace “mobbing”. It’s brutal from an emotional/psychological standpoint. In the typical species of mobbing the management caste has decided they no longer want you on the payroll and so they collectively and with purpose treat you like absolute trash in a bid to get you to quit. If you don’t quit, the bad treatment keeps getting worse until you do. If you don’t, and they can fire you, they eventually fire you, giving a lie as the reason for your termination. It’s brutal, and ruthless, and obviously nobody in management is concerned about your mental health or overall welfare while it’s happening to you. They have one goal, and that is to get rid of you, and to get rid of you on their terms, not yours.
We let them steal elections. We are mostly not willing to stand up to them, as he discovered when he found himself alone.

I don’t think, after reading about this guy, he was a good teacher/administrator. I would like more information but the way the sympathetic part of the article portrays him, I just wonder what his viewpoints were concerning the LBQT or whatever they’re called today, were?
I’m from the classic liberal mindset, I personally don’t care what people do behind their closed doors, but once you bring your “you” out into the public, that’s a no-no. Especially the ones that are called teachers/administrators in my state that pushed the legislature to enact a law shielding themselves from being held accountable for encouraging and kidnapping minor children who want to be sexually mutilated for life under the guise of gender affirming care.
Look at the list of survivors, his contractual re-employment and as you clearly pointed out, “Why? For the love of God, Why?” I think it’s because there was a lack of the love of God throughout his entire adult life, clearly at the end.
Tend to agree but in the U.S. system of legal torts it is axiomatic that you take your victim as you find them. Meaning, that while your victim might be made of sturdy stuff like Jordan Peterson, such that self-harm/suicide is extremely improbable, it also, as in this case, might be much more likely. If your misbehavior toward the victim is judged to be sufficiently abysmal, such that a finding by the judge of intentional infliction of emotional distress is potentially in the offing, you generally can’t avoid the extremely high $$$ liability that a subsequent suicide typically brings by pointing out the average person, if subjected to the same stress, could, and normally would, bear up under it, and not respond in such an extreme or violent way.

Anyone who has spent some time in sales can relate to this. I have seen this happen in the brokerage business when some folks are in a slump or they lose a very large account. Management begins to shun them if they are on the outs until they leave or are walked out.
...much like the US, Canada is choking itself by liberal government policies like this DEI nonsense, government healthcare, 2.09 per liter gasoline (equates to $8.09 per gallon; in rural areas), general over-regulation and so on.
I THINK I observed some irrefutable evidence of this in a recent (just got home) 4,000 mile drive through Western Canada. Where I live (Central Texas), an Interstate highway like I 35 or I 10 is just jammed ALL DAY LONG. In one day, a typical car truck count would surely be in the tens of thousands for cars and many many hundreds, if not thousands, for big trucks.
For about 2 weeks, we drove through parts of Canada that had divided highways that looked exactly like our Interstates. Outside the few cities, you MIGHT see ONE car every five minutes or one big semi truck every hour. The rest of the time you were ALONE on their “Interstate”.
I asked several Canadian’s at stops....”is this amount of traffic normal?”...or...”is there a holiday today?”.........and the response was always a perplexed look and then a “yes, this is normal” and “no, this is not a holiday”.
After about 2 weeks in Canada, I concluded that their economy was just choked off by government policy and driving for days and days on their empty freeways prove it.

Worse (in non-sales) is when the reason given for the poor treatment is pretextual, the real reason being illegal from a labor law standpoint, or at least too inconvenient to admit.
