Breitbart News asked Posobiec about DeSantis, whom many viewed as the heir apparent for 2028, and the prospect that his current presidential bid could negatively affect his future political endeavors — a point former President Donald Trump has made on social media, asserting that DeSantis is “hurting himself very badly for 2028.”
“I asked myself the same question all the time,” Posobiec said when asked why DeSantis possibly jeopardized his future by running against former President Donald Trump.
He briefly spoke about the DeSantis campaign’s seeming strategy of copying and pasting his Florida policies into each state and expecting the same successful result that he has seen in his own state.
“That’s missing the key fundamentals. The key fundamentals that Iowa is a different state than the Rust Belt in general, the Midwest is different,” he began.
“The Rust Belt maybe doesn’t care so much about the culture wars as a Florida voter or southern voter does. Maybe they care about the economy. Maybe they care about trade. Maybe they care about immigration issues, which as a governor, it’s hard to kind of touch because they are particularly more foreign policy,” he acknowledged, noting the need for “multiple pillars” in the campaign, not just focusing on wokeness, despite its appeal to Republicans in the polls.
“And they fashioned their entire campaign against this one pillar that may work with certain demographics of the country, certain regions, but not everywhere,” he explained, reminding viewers that he is a social conservative who believes DeSantis has been great on pro-life issues and wokeness.

His career was over when he announced.
The games haven’t even started yet for 2024.
It’s a little early to be worrying about 2028, there may not even be a United States by then.
“ The games haven’t even started yet for 2024.”
What does that mean?
It will have to be a very sorry presidential primary field in 2028 for me to vote for DeSantis.
A lot can happen between now and 2028. At this point in time I support DeSantis in 2028.
Outside of political junkies like us, nobody is really paying attention to all this. Once we get closer to the primaries, people start paying more attention.
2028?
By that time Biden, Kamala or Gavin will have put all of their political opponents in jail.

There will be no “election” in 2028.
With a 17 member leftist SCOTUS (Liz Warren and Kamala on board), no Electoral College, popular vote supermajority for Dems nationally, DC and Puerto Rico as states, all funding cut off for GOP flyover states and Florida, and a 70% Dem majority in the House and Senate.
Like Mao and Fidel Castro, the supreme leader wins big.
How career was over the second he had Bush donors rolling his way and he reversed his position on the Ukraine Scam because his donors enrich themselves from military contracts.
The RICH Anti-Trump Globalist Donors who are now backing Ronnie
will put their money elsewhere in 2028.
Most of us will be ineligible to vote in 2028.
You’re saying he could be the nominee.
That doesn’t mean his career isn’t over.
“Exclusive — Jack Posobiec: ‘Yes,’ DeSantis Is in Jeopardy of Losing His 2028 Frontrunner Status”
I realize that the Trump-haters here won’t agree, but I think this bums out a lot, if not most of the MAGAs.
Obviously, DeSantis needed to learn what the Republican base wants and learn how to at least fake being with the base (although, ideally, he would actually choose to be with us). This would have would have meant not running for president in 2024 as he clearly was not ready.
Now he had has a huge trust gap to overcome in 2028, as most conservatives (hopefully including most here) will still be around then.
So I agree with Jack. Furthermore, if DeSantis could have figured us out (he’s been sheltered from us his entire life), he would have been the strongest candidate for 2028.
Also, it should be noted that Bush Sr. had the same problem and thus took his time, while learning at least how to fake it for 1988, and then when his #1 advisor died (Lee Atwater)...wound up he was lost, and so he got defeated in a mostly clean election in 1992.
2028 is a long way away. DeSantis will have been out of office for two years, and candidates that we haven’t even considered will emerge over the next 4 years.
That’s what I think. The Ron donors are not pro-Ron, they are anti-Trump. Since Ron is proving to be a dud with a campaign that has had a failure to launch (at least in a Trump environment), donors are abandoning ship. Ron is being tarnished with the impression he’s a dud & I think that will carry over to ‘28.
Should something dramatic & unforeseen happen, where Trump is no longer on this earth for the ‘24 election, I see that as Ron’s only chance.
When did he ever have “front runner” status?
He burnt his bridges early. I don't see him coming back in 2028. I wouldn't vote for him then, and I'll probably be dead by then anyway. It will be interesting to see what he can get the State Legislature to accomplish for him when he finally heads back to his job. People seem to think DeSantis got all the goods things done for Florida by himself, but the State Legislature can either make you, or break you.
Trump’s VP or other top administration official would likely be the heir apparent should he win, not Desantis. Trying to pick a front runner 6 years in advance should Trump lose is just silly. A lot changes in 6 years, especially after a second Trump defeat. The GOP would be going through major changes/rebuilding.
