A greywater heat recovery system???

I have looked at them long and hard and concluded they would considerable maintenance to achieve listed efficiency.
The soap, hair,dirt... would accumulate on the heat exchanger coils lowering efficiency.
Yes, chemicals, pressure washer, lots of hours... Not cheap.

We have a hundred-year-old house and look to minimize payments to the utility company.

A Weil Mclain Ultra 94% efficient for domestic hot water via indirect heater, and heating the house with what looks like a mile of PEX running ~ 100F. Heat pump for AC and hybrid heating.

We installed it all ourselves with some help from our engineer daughter and HVAC son-in-law.
