These bogus prosecutions are making clear just how vague many of these statutes are and that the grand jury system is obviously broken. Grand juries are supposed to be a check on prosecutorial abuse, not a rubber stamp.

On the call leaked to the press, Trump laid out various irregularities identified to him and how they closed and vastly exceeded the gap between him & Joe. Trump correctly said he didn't need all of those missing votes, Trump only needed to "find" 11,780 among all those buckets of irregularities & missing votes to win. Context matters.

Trump was saying with the tens of thousands of vote counts being questioned, he didn't need all missing or questionable votes to flip, he only needed enough to win.
He was convinced there were so many possibilities presented to get across the line, he was saying it was a near certainty he'd be able to close the gap and prevail with a partial true accounting of votes under question. He wanted a true and accurate vote count.
In NO WAY was he asking the SoS to manufacture votes for him which has been the spin since the first leak of the call.

When a partisan Atlanta jury finds Trump & Co guilty, Georgians could press Gov Kemp to pardon. I believe if the prosecution is a political overstep, Kemp might be open to righting the wrong. He's termed out as governor and it's unclear if he's going to run in '26 for US Senate which is possible since he's not even sixty.
