He runs regardless and wins. No other option. That option may not be an option:

Aside from this little issue, the fact is DeSantis’ campaign hasn’t been very effective thus far. He’s not connecting at all. Just look at his numbers. Its pretty clear he’s not ready for prime time. He doesn’t inspire much confidence that’s for sure.

Trump did come out and tell people to go home. The media didn’t report it.
Why do you think that is?
RDS is such a whiny backstabbing little loser.

Fine then we stay home or write in Trump. Either way we torch the GOP. Good riddance.

Ron said he thought Trump didn’t act forcefully enough but acknowledged that’s not criminal. I think Ron is walking too fine a line on an issue that the majority of Republicans are extremely passionate about. He wants to have his cake and eat it too and I think it’s a mistake. He should exclusively use this as an opportunity to rail on the Biden justice department.

Actual quote for those who choose not to read the article:
“When asked whether he believed Trump’s actions were wrong in connection with the Jan. 6 insurrection, DeSantis said, “I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on. He should have come out more forcefully ... but to try to criminalize that, that’s a different issue entirely.”

DeSantis: "... but to try to criminalize that, that’s a different issue entirely.”
I'll wait to comment further until I hear the actual conversation.

Your link doesn't work.
I saw the video of him speaking. It's obvious he's prevaricating as if the charges might be true. Have you seen it?

Yes, an excellent question wrapped in an excellent point.

Ron could have won in 2028…now he has thoroughly poisoned his chances.
Ron should have stayed in Florida where he belongs…he was suckered because he has the wrong kind of ambition fed by influence from the wrong people.
He has that typical political ambition that in the end just disgusts people.
A fools fool and a globalist tool to be discarded when his usefulness to the Devil runs out.
It’s really sad actually.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda…All men will eventually disappoint.
Trump will flame out too if people treat him as a messiah…He gets my vote but do be careful people…God is not into competition.

DeSantis well stated response is, as Trump would say, perfectly good: “Look, there’s a difference between being brought up on criminal charges and doing things. Like for example, I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on. He should have come out more forcefully, of course. But to try to criminalize that, that’s a different issue entirely. But to try to criminalize that, that's a different issue entirely and I think that we want to be in a situation where you don't have one side just constantly trying to put the other side in jail.” I'm not sure if that is the full quote, so there may be some context missing, but I sure don't see anything wrong with this. DeSantis clearly objects to the politicial persecution of Trump but his is not giving him a knee-jerk pass on his actions.
