Freight train derails in Pa., causing evacuations, road closures: reports

When I grew up in Plymouth Meeting. Whitemarsh Township was the most Republican Township in the Most Republican County in PA. When my parents moved there, my Grandfather, who was the NJ Dtate Assemblyman for Camden County, advised my parents to register Republican because primary elections were all that mattered in the one party Township.

Obama visited Montgomery County when he was in office and declared the area too White middle class. The zoning was too strict, there was no multi-family housing and the population was too White. Heck, when we lived there, there was no full grocery store and no movie theater. We did have four Country Clubs, though, whose membership was not local.

This train line has been controversial since Obama’s days Office. The bridge collapsed and they refused to allow it to be rebuilt. They closed the intersection that defined Plymouth Meeeting, where the friends Meeting House stood since the 18th century, cutting off access between Germantown Pike and and the rest of the township, making things very inconvenient. The reason was that they wanted to build a very large condo development and change the nature and historical character of Whitemarsh Township. This rail line may have been the catalyst for closing the intersection, but that doesn’t mean that the developers wouldn’t love to see it go. The locals would like the intersection re-opened.
