I hope both Holland and Ireland get their crap together.

While we’re at it, Africa has fertile land. They need to take care of themselves.
I don’t recall signing up to provide for Negroes.

Stupid games with stupid prizes.

The current crop of "world leaders" in the West -- which the WEF brags as having placed there in many instances ( yeah, Russia too ) -- seem so intent on "projecting power" and "color revolutions" (an Obama era term, one is reminded ) as to be actually upsetting a real-world apple cart. Those proverbial apples are spilling and spoiling. Behind the scenes, a small group of -- surprise -- "world leaders" and their chums are profiting all along the way.

Who could’ve guessed just 10 years ago at how rapidly things have been compromised.

Likely after attacking the foundation of the republic for decades.

--- "You have one button only. 'Putin!' Holland is seizing 3000 farms. Ireland is culling cows, US subsidies to not grow, etc. Under whites, Rhodesia was the 'Breadbasket of Africa'. There's more to the world than 'Putin!."

A very apt comment. An SF inner city losing major businesses and SF REITs collapsing. Inner city violence, tent cities and drug use and death. NYC evicting vets for "migrants" and more. Chicago's many travails. Genital mutilation and sterilization called "gender affirming." Cocaine in the White Powder House. US military announcing war with China in 2025. Drag queen story hours across the fruity plains. Yup, that Putin is one very clever fellow, especially since he is supposedly a WEF "young leader."

When one sees simplicity in enormous complexity, the only way to do that is through openly declared and rock-solid principles. Like a real conservative would evidence.

Or one can hit the big red / Red button, while wearing a white hat from the costume shop.

Can’t even follow a simple linear conversation... child.

This is why everyone just smacks you when they pass. You, truly, are dumb.

Now do steel production, to show why ramping up munitions and war materiel by the West is problematic.

These data points should be placed in the larger frame of "Clinton-forward" off-shoring of manufacturing jobs to countries which oddly cannot be characterized as "West."

I think his point is you wouldn’t have to rely so heavily on Russia if your own industry was firing on all cylinders.

Agreed. It'll be interesting to see if this change of policy by Russia will result in our own government reducing how much we pay farmers to keep land fallow, or change Brandon's natural gas policy (which impacts availability and price of fertilizer).

--- "Reality check... The Netherlands is the 2nd largest exporter of food behind the USA."

Food. The subject has been that subset of food -- wheat.

One finds:

Top 10 Wheat Producing Countries (in tons of wheat produced 2020)*
China — 134,254,710
India — 107,590,000
Russia — 85,896,326
United States — 49,690,680
Canada — 35,183,000
France — 30,144,110
Pakistan — 25,247,511
Ukraine — 24,912,350
Germany — 22,172,100
Turkey — 20,500,000

Wiki validates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_wheat_production_statistics

Visual Capitalist validates: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/cp/visualizing-global-wheat-production-by-country/

Atlas Big validates: https://www.atlasbig.com/en-us/countries-wheat-production

World Agriculture lists differently, conflating the EU as one entity:
China: 138,000,000
European Union: 134,300,000
India: 103,000,000
Russia: 91,000,000
United States: 44,902,000
Australia: 36,600,000

Source: http://www.worldagriculturalproduction.com/crops/wheat.aspx

As to the Netherlands alone: "In 2021, wheat production for Netherlands was 947,250 thousand tonnes. Though Netherlands wheat production fluctuated substantially in recent years, it tended to increase through 1972 - 2021 period ending at 947,250 thousand tonnes in 2021."

Source: https://knoema.com/atlas/Netherlands/topics/Agriculture/Crops-Production-Quantity-tonnes/Wheat-production

Netherlands, at less than 100 thousand tons is significantly behind the "100 million" club, and does not rank above even Turkey's 20 million.

This is interesting also, as World-Grain has a search bar at the top right. Typing in "wheat" only shows no articles about actual production by nation. Sosland, the web site publisher is located in Kansas City.

Additionally, OEC reports of the Netherlands, "In 2021, Netherlands exported $139M in Wheat, making it the 31st largest exporter of Wheat in the world.

Source: https://oec.world/en/profile/bilateral-product/wheat/reporter/nld

The same page observes that "In 2021, Netherlands imported $1.25B in Wheat, becoming the 15th largest importer of Wheat in the world."

Your posted article conflates "food" with "wheat." Please review.

Best wishes, in this wide world of reality checks, data and sources.

Dumb as socialist, Marxist "not farmer" ideologues. "Idiocracy" was not just a film.... It was also the ZANU-PF, for starters. And enders.

Indeed, but the whine from some of these "dumb as rocks" types then becomes "o-o-oh grammar or spelling police" as their BS defense.

“The Turkish navy considerably outnumbers the Russian Black Sea fleet. And it seems it has substantial tech advantages too”

Erdogan profits personally from Ukrainian Black Sea grain shipments.

This war is a long term opportunity for Turkey - if the Russian Black Sea Fleet gets hit substantially at some point, increased and enduring Turkish dominance over those waters would result. There are a lot of valuable hydrocarbon deposits under the sea floor there, and a lot of cargo traffic to tax.

An end state where several more Russian surface combatants and subs were removed for good, and the Russians were ejected from their base in Sevastopol, would hugely increase Turkish Naval dominance in the Black Sea.
