This isn’t new. There is or was a system called “Smoke Cloak” that has been used in retail for several decades. The one I saw that was tripped was used as a burglar deterrent. It used theatrical smoke.

It used theatrical smoke.< That’s right. They have since been made illegal in numerous cities (including mine) due to police and fire emergency response concerns.

The only thing I see wrong with the idea is that security cameras won’t be able to see thru the fog, either. The perps won’t get ID’d.
