RE: It’s gone by the wayside, I believe.
Several possibilities:
1. Not enough things people want or need are Made in the USA anymore.
2. Even if there were things that people want or need made in the USA, they were too pricey for most consumers
3. There are not enough consumers who are willing to pay the prices as stated in point 2 above to bring in sufficient revenue and profit for the company to continue in business.
4. Not many potential customers in the USA are aware of such a business.
5. The business did not have a rich supporter (like Elon Musk ) to sustain its operation till it made a profit.
I personally hope that this company PublicSq. is not on a similar quixotic endeavor…
Exactly my concern.
Although, “going public” means that there will be many “owners” rather than 1 giant owner (presumably, anyway).
