Why waste the tax dollars on dumbing down the already dumb? Anyone marginalized by the subject of mathematics whether black, white, or oriental either does give a damn about learning or is too low IQ’d to learn. This only ends up hurting the kids that are capable and wanting to learn.

My experience is that students find “word problems” more difficult than “plug and chug,” for instance.
