Joe Biden says Putin will have to cut a deal with Ukraine after counter-offensive losses

Joe Biden said that he expects Ukraine’s counter-offensive will eventually lead to negotiations to end the war with Russia.

The US president said he did not believe that Moscow could sustain the war for years, and Vladimir Putin had “already lost”.

He also warned that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Wagner Group mercenary chief who led a failed mutiny against Putin last month, should be careful about being poisoned.

Mr Biden speaking in Helsinki, Finland, said: “Putin’s already lost the war. Putin has a real problem – how does he move from here, what does he do? There is no possibility of him winning the war in Ukraine. He’s already lost that war.”

He said he did not think that “Russia could maintain the war forever in terms of their resources or capacity”, adding that “eventually President Putin is going to decide it’s not in the interests of Russia economically, or politically or otherwise” to continue the conflict.

The president added: “My hope is, and my expectation is, you’ll see that Ukraine makes significant progress on their offensive, and that it generates a negotiated settlement somewhere along the line.”

Russia knows that it can't use nukes in any war, much less against a European nation. It's why they know that they can only make threats of using nukes, but no really use them. Putin and Kremlin leaders know what YOU don't, and that is that, using nukes would ensure the demise of Russia. No country in Europe would just stand by and allow Russia to use nukes. That's a certainty.

No response would be equal to a surrender of any part of Europe, not just Ukraine. And, we might as well forget being a power in the world, with foreign policy and military matters and economic matters. It would be tantamount to surrendering the world to Russia and its partner in crime, China.

Whey the heck do you think that we are helping Ukraine to stop the Russian aggression? Short hint: Russia will not be allowed to win.

It's no easy to find derogatory terms in FR, but I'm pretty sure they've been used many thousands of times by FReepers in their conversations over the years.

But, I was also referring to the rules you can find on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter, where the 'rules' were used many thousands of times to pull article or comments, because, 'they violated the rules'. But, many of those rules didn't apply to left-leaning article or comments, or to comments. Rules should not be broken, but they also should not be used to prevent opposing opinions from being heard.
