Joe Biden says Putin will have to cut a deal with Ukraine after counter-offensive losses

Joe Biden said that he expects Ukraine’s counter-offensive will eventually lead to negotiations to end the war with Russia.

The US president said he did not believe that Moscow could sustain the war for years, and Vladimir Putin had “already lost”.

He also warned that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Wagner Group mercenary chief who led a failed mutiny against Putin last month, should be careful about being poisoned.

Mr Biden speaking in Helsinki, Finland, said: “Putin’s already lost the war. Putin has a real problem – how does he move from here, what does he do? There is no possibility of him winning the war in Ukraine. He’s already lost that war.”

He said he did not think that “Russia could maintain the war forever in terms of their resources or capacity”, adding that “eventually President Putin is going to decide it’s not in the interests of Russia economically, or politically or otherwise” to continue the conflict.

The president added: “My hope is, and my expectation is, you’ll see that Ukraine makes significant progress on their offensive, and that it generates a negotiated settlement somewhere along the line.”

The ‘sanctions’ wound up being a “gift from heaven” for Russia, as it got them off of their flirting with the West, and back to their roots as a conservative society. And now we see the benefits of that in the way the war is progressing.

Ukraine should had gone for Crimea last fall just about when Putin called for a mobilization. The Russians had 9 months to fortify the land bridge to Crimea. So it’s unlikely for Ukraine to be able to seize all of her lands back.

At the beginning of the invasion, Russia's economy was no larger than Italy's, and now, it's even lower.

In fact, it's not even in the top 10 economies of the world now.

And remember that, figures coming out of Russia are not credible.

When it comes to munitions, the U.S. nor NATO are going to divulge exact figures which would encourage the enemy. We have been using a lot of equipment and ammo in helping Ukraine, but, Russia is actually having to use WW2 equipment in order to try to stay in the fight. NATO is nowhere close to being so desperate. We're not going to run out of weapons or ammo, and we can ramp up production if we had to, whereas Russia has to depend on the outside world for parts that they've run out of.

Russia has no hope of winning the war. NONE!

And, did you forget that, Russia's border is also Ukraine's border?
