Apparently a hell of a lot, considering how our tanks and Bradley’s are doing.
Mines are ancient. Ukraine needs proper systems (human, not tech so much) to deal with them.
Check out the British plan for the initial assault at the Second battle of Alamein, Oct 1942. Same situation. Vast minefields.
I’m thinking that the age of armor is over. Big targets with too many weapons ranged against them. The Russians had the same problem when they invaded Ukraine. The Uks used drones and anti-tank grenades to destroy tanks.
We have no M1 tanks in this fight, try to keep up.
