Mutinous Wagner mercenary group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin is likely either dead or jailed, and his much-publicized meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin after his botched rebellion was probably faked, according to a former senior US military leader.
Retired Gen. Robert Abrams, an ABC News contributor who previously served as the commander of US Forces Korea, shared his thoughts on Prigozhin’s uncertain fate in the aftermath of the Wagner Group’s short-lived armed insurrection last month

He could hold up a visible current copy of Pravda for the world to see.
When Russian politics or military is the subject, it is safer to say “Nobody knows nothing!”
They are just as mysterious, just as opaque as they were when called the Soviet Union.
That’s a very bizarre assertion without any evidence to back that up.
I highly doubt that Yevgeny cares what some retired general says offhand in another country.
If Putin were going to off him he wouldn’t do it quietly. He’d do it publicly to send the message to not screw around.
The question may be, is having this Wagner leader alive so valuable to Putin that he cannot afford to have him killed, even though it makes Putin look weaker?
If yes, why? Does Wagner not function without it’s titular leader and Putin requires a functioning Wagner to fight? At least for now?....
sort of like a hostage :)
I keep seeing this number posted. Is it from the “accounting error” announced a few days before the “coup?” Because if it is, that’s not how arms transfers work. At all.
Defenestration?
Putin is probably dead, too. All the Russians in the Ukraine are dead, too. All the Russians in Russia are dead, too. All of the Russians in the US are dead, too.
Yes, the $6.2B oddly timed “accounting error”. Some would say there aren’t a whole lot of coincidences in DC. Whatever, the “surplus” will ostensibly be used for future military support, whatever that may be. The term ‘fungible’ comes to mind.
“Nobody knows nothing!”

Sounds like our own politicians and bureaucrats when something goes wrong.
Depends if you have the other conspiracy theory that Wagner is going to strike Kiev from Belarus and this was a feint against internal politics among Putins generals as well.
The whole thing never made any sense as there’s no way his mercenary forces could’ve overtaken Moscow.
Prig is seen here saying they’ll be back on Aug 5th:
Geez, give the comedy a rest.
Speaking of dead. You know, if the global elites can kill 80% of us, they won’t have to make any global warming sacrifices. Not that they would anyway, but flaunting it is gauche. Remember beautiful women with diamonds and fur coats?
Former” senior military leaders” promoted under obama, are little more than a clutch of gossiping gentleman’s club cocktail circuit idle sheep-dipped civilian “ military analysts” raking in gratuitous payments from think tanks and defense contractors that depend on war threat for their existence
Its scary to think that they were once making real decisions about defeating an enemy that has shown how little they knew him, and makes fools of them every day
See above
Because he is a “ former senior military leader”
As soon as P turned his adventure around I figured it for a staged show. Whether it was staged or real the norm in that sort of situation is to disappear the adventurer or kill him outright. In that part of the world that seems to be tossing him out a suicide window 10 floors up.
He’s still alive. Putin isn’t Stalin by miles, though the Deep State has been feeding us this crsp for a couple of decades.
But, that’s not how arms transfers work. There is zero cash involved. Not sure how the CIA would get $6 billion.
Sometimes even the best conspiracy theories don’t stand up to minimal facts.
