CHATSWORTH, CA β With the help of airdrops, Los Angeles and Venturay County firefighters mounted an aggressive attack to stop a brush fire that broke out in the Chatsworth area overnight.
Crews were able to hold the blaze, dubbed the Brown Fire to three acres, knocking it down by sunrise Tuesday.
The blaze burned uphill several miles north of the Ronald Regan (118) Freeway.
Fire crews were called at 10:54 p.m. Monday to 15954 Browns Canyon Road near an unincorporated area of Porter Ranch and the Santa Susana Mountains and an abandoned Nike missile base regarding a brush fire that was burning up hill. The Ventura County Fire Department joined the LAFD in taking on the flames, as the fire was in a mutual threat fire zone, said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The fire quickly moved into the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which continued to battled the flames. The LAFD took a supporting role as the flames continued to burn, Humphrey added.
Arson investigators are on the scene of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
There were no injuries reported.
The blaze was one of several small brush fires to break out in Los Angeles County Monday.
It's global warming, and lighter fluid is the principal greenhouse gas.
I fought many a large brushfire in that area back in the 1980’and 90’s. It’s a regular summer occurrence, usually caused by human negligence.
Another wildfire arson the MSM will not want to mention.
Santa Susana Mountains a bad location Rocketdyne had a small nuclear power plant melt down in 1959 it still hasn’t been cleaned up.
And now in the 2020's we have more woodland and brush arson superimposed on the backdrop of negligence fires.

My wife and I were discussing the Gorebull warming fires through the west coastal areas, SW and MW.
Amazing how these often semi remote Gorebull warming fires start without any lighting.

So rare as it is, imagine several in an area happening at once!

Probably not accidents nor accidental.
They have had big brush fires in Browns Canyon. There are now thousands of homes built on rolling hills that I once rode my bike on. Porter Ranch is next to it and is now the priciest area over Beverly Hills.
I also seen in Brown’s Canyon, several stolen cars rolled into the ravines prior to the house building nearby.
