Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) heaped criticism on Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) on Tuesday for saying a night earlier that the definition of “white nationalist” comes down to one’s “opinion.”
“The Senator from Alabama is wrong, wrong, wrong,” Schumer said Tuesday. “The definition of white nationalism is not a matter of opinion.”
“For the Senator from Alabama to obscure the racist nature of white nationalism is indeed very, very dangerous,” Schumer continued. “He is fanning the flames of bigotry and intolerance.”

I think it is important that we do accurately describe “nationalist,” regardless of race. My first thought is to say a nationalist is a patriot who believes America is an exceptional country because we have an exceptional Constitution as our guiding light. We believe in a limited government and not a large, monopolistic behemoth for a government. Patriots believe in the basic rights set out in the original documents and not in special rights for every ethnic division. And they believe this country was founded by Christians based upon Christian values.
I consider myself a patriot and believe these. Does that make me a “nationalist?” If so than I am a “white nationalist.” Is that bad?
Wait, I thought Tuberville was a Republican...
Yet we have a POC Supreme Court Justice who can’t define “woman.”
But Obama said “they bring a knife, we bring a gun.” Remember that Schmucky?
UpChuck has never been right.
