The German government has finalized a 700-million-euro ($770.28 million) military aid package for Ukraine, the defense ministry said on Tuesday, the first day of a NATO summit in Vilnius.
The package includes two Patriot launchers from Bundeswehr stock, 40 additional Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 25 additional 1 A5 main battle tanks, as well as five Bergepanzer 2 tanks, the ministry said.
It includes an additional 20,000 rounds of artillery ammunition and 5,000 rounds of 155 mm smoke ammunition, the ministry added.
The package “serves Ukraine’s priorities: air defense, tanks, artillery ... with it, we are making an important contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s sustainability,” defense minister Boris Pistorius said in a statement.
True, and the same folks complaining about aid to Ukraine would howl like you threw boiling water on them if you suggested we need to make changes to social security and medicare to make those programs solvent.
If it was straightforward, then tell me what it was about.
You, I believe yesterday, were mocking someone for the source of their thread.
Saying they’re unreliable, while saying this is useful, seems hypocritical to me.
Wenn wir marschieren!
No wonder it was so weird and made no sense to me, you were breaking a huge rule of FR and dragging another thread onto this thread in a weird post that made no sense to me or any sense at all, I had made no posts addressing the thread topic, the article source, or anything about it.
My post was a link to a CNN article about CNN’s interview with the CEO of Rheinmetall.

Rheinmetall will build and repair tanks in Ukraine, says CEO
“Rheinmetall will open an armored vehicle plant in Ukraine within the next 12 weeks, shrugging off concerns other Western defense companies reportedly have about building a presence in the country while it is at war with Russia.”

I didn’t break any rule, as you and I weren’t arguing previously.
No, you wanted to start something on this thread about who knows what from another thread.
Your post was weird and made no sense except now we know you were bringing something else here and making a weird post about my CNN link to their interview with the CEO of Rheinmetall.
I missed out on a triple Zotting of Zeepers?
Are you doing this on purpose?
It wasn’t weird to anyone else, and you have done it multiple times.
For someone who likes arguing often, you sure seem sensitive.
I still don’t know what you are posting about, your posts to me on this thread have made no sense.
I posted a CNN interview link and you have been posting nonsense to me since.
Did you even read post 10?
Quit posting to me.
You mean responding to your posts to me?
The best way to not get a response from someone is to not contact them, try it.
“What? I missed out on a triple Zotting of Zeepers?
Are you doing this on purpose? “
I can’t do the zotting, of course, I can only report people.
It’s very simple, we’re a small website that at least leans towards getting the Ukraine situation resolved, yet we keep being called Russians, Putin Puffers, Putin Cultists, and God knows what else (I should have logged the names). Being small and relatively insignificant, I really, really, doubt ANYONE here has anything to do with Russian astroturfing on Ukraine, if it even exists. In fact, we now know from the Twitter Files that the people SUPPORTING our involvement in Ukraine are MUCH MORE LIKELY to be assigned here, and even their behavior shows it and in some cases, one of whom I disposed of, his posting history made it obvious.
So, I just report the people who continue to name-call me on Ukraine (which, of course, is against the rules here). What the mods do with those people (or me, for that matter), is up to the mods, and up to JR, of course. In the case of the thread below, three got zotted, one for one week, and I think the other two, permanently (the two I reported, one publicly, one privately). There are others who strongly support Ukraine and play by the rules, like Cronus (at least now, maybe before, don’t remember), and obviously I have no reason to report them and in addition, I’d piss off the mods if I did report them, for simply opposing my view.
