Look at the Glenn Youngkin model in Virginia.

Does Glenn Youngkin have a Detroit? A Philadelphia? A Fulton County or a Maricopa County?

I'm assuming Virginia elections are not utterly corrupt, and that is only because I haven't looked into possibilities of corruption in Virginia. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some, but nothing like what we are seeing in the Swing States.

The most salient statistic for 2024 is from Florida. Trump carried Florida against Biden by 3%. DeSantis carried Florida by 19%. DeSantis showed the ability to make major inroads into areas and groups that are out of reach for Trump. DeSantis could easily carry GA, AZ, WI and NV. He would have an excellent shot at flipping PA, and possibly bring states such as VA and NH into play.

The entire premise of your argument is that the elections are not corrupt. I do not believe that. I've seen far too much evidence to convince me that elections in the swing states are very corrupt, and that until something is done about the corruption, we cannot possibly win any of them.

I can only conclude that you haven't been keeping up with the various articles here on Free Republic which has detailed the various types of corruption we've seen in the swing states.

Unfortunately, Trump’s narcissism will not allow him to graciously move over and let this scenario play out. In his mind, it’s all about him.

And it always will be. Something i've tried to explain on other sites is that Trump will go scorched earth on anyone he sees as a real threat for the nomination. He believes he is owed the nomination (and for that matter, so do I) and he will pull it all down before he lets go of the nomination.

We either win with him, or we don't win at all because he will do to any primary rival what he did to Ted Cruz.

Have you forgotten about Ted Cruz? I was a Ted Cruz supporter and was quite bothered that Trump started smearing him the way he did.

In retrospect, after having seen the vicious nasty opposition thrown at Trump, I can only conclude that he and he alone could have won that thing or withstood the onslaught of lies and accusations.

DeSantis is not going to win the nomination. I don't put much stock in polls, but from what I have been reading, he's losing ground and he's not likely to make it up.

We are going to get Trump.

And in my opinion, if it is at all possible to overcome the fraud and win this, Trump is the only one who can possibly do it.

Trump believes there is fraud in the Swing States. DeSantis is backed by people who think the elections were fair. Trump will try to overcome the fraud, but DeSantis would be walking into a trap.

Glenn Youngkin has Fairfax County, a very populous county which is a suburb of Washington D.C., and thus comprised of mostly D.C. bureaucrats. As such, they provide huge margins for Democrats every election, and is the primary reason VA has two Democrat Senators today. Glenn Youngkin cut into that margin significantly, and trounced McAuliffe in other parts of the state.

Amazingly, Trump took credit for that victory, but in reality Youngkin deftly kept his distance from Trump throughout that campaign. Youngkin has gone on to be a very effective conservative governor.

A certain amount of fraud can be overcome, even in PA. Pat Toomey won two statewide races there. The fraud machine in Milwaukee was overcome in 2022 by Ron Johnson. I was just watching Fox’s Democrat commentator (Leslie Marshall) who was gleeful at the prospect of Trump getting the nomination. She should be, because that is Biden’s only path to victory.
