I bet there are more than that. Shanghai has a population of 39 million, most of them on bicycles. I got dizzy just walking on the sidewalks. Beijing's population is 21 million and most people ride bicycles. It is mind boggling. That photo is just the share bicycles discarded do to damage. The whole field looks like this:
