Youngkin is an interesting candidate for several reasons. First, by not declaring while Trump dominates, he “fights without fighting” as Bruce Lee put it. He preserves his status yet does so with becoming a target. Finally, he is the rare Republican who is prepared for and knows how to fight the Democratic fraud machine. It was by blocking Fairfax County’s midnight ballot dump via “discovered” thumb drives, among other things, that he won the governor’s race in Virginia.
Gov. Doug Burgum of North Dakota was on C-SPAN this weekend addressing a small crowd at an event in New Hampshire. He sounded pretty good on a number of issues (made me think of Vivek, but Burgum has actual experience as an elected official, now in his second term). He talked about energy, China, drugs/addiction, human trafficking, etc. He’s pro-life. Whether he can move up from the ranks of the candidates who are at 1% in the polls, I don’t know. He’s 66.
