GOP Is Leaning Into Moderate, Experienced Senate Candidates In 2024 To Avoid Another Failed Red Wave, Experts Say
The Daily Caller ^ | July 9, 2023 | ARJUN SINGH

Republicans are looking to recruit moderate and experienced candidates for Senate races in 2024 to avoid a repeat of losses in the 2022 midterms, GOP campaign experts and conservative commentators told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), the GOP’s campaign arm responsible for Senate elections, is looking to place moderate nominees with elected experience in competitive races, experts told the DCNF. An emphasis on electability offered by experienced candidates, they said, is essential to winning — unlike novice candidates subscribing to former President Donald Trump’s brand of populism. (RELATED: In Blow To GOP, Rep. Mike Gallagher Decides Against Senate Run)

In the 2022 midterm elections, Trump’s endorsement helped several populist candidates in Arizona, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Georgia win primary races over moderate candidates. All of them went on to lose their elections, which observers ascribed to their Trump-style views that were unpalatable to general election voters, with a “red wave” failing to materialize.

The concern has led to “electability” as being a top priority for candidates endorsed by the NRSC. A spokesperson for Republican Sen. Steve Daines of Montana, the NRSC’s chairman, told the DCNF that his “number one priority is recruiting candidates who can win a primary and a general election.”

Trump also won in 2020. He will win again in 2024.

Al Gore won in 2000.

Manbearpig did not win the Electoral College in 2000. Trump did win in 2016, 2020 and will win again in 2024. That the Derp State has to steal the wins from him doesn’t change that fact.

Do you seriously believe if anyone other than Trump got the GOP nomination that the same Derp State would allow them to win and not cheat ? That’s the same argument we heard for McQueeg and Willard the Rat. Put up a RINO lefty squishie Derper-friendly and win in a landslide. That sure worked out for the GOP, didn’t it ? Well, just dream about what would’ve happened if El Jebbe “Please Clap” Bushie was the 2016 nominee. Most of us would be dead from the nuclear war the Butcheress of Benghazi would’ve started with Russia as President.

Anywho...

Most of you should be good enough at reading the stitches on a fastball, as the Great Rush Limbaugh used to say, but this is a SMALL indicator that the GOPe now thinks Trump CAN and very well MAY win 2024, and they are doing the Ru Paul/Yertle Gui two step to saddle him with an opposition senate.

Creating one, since the Reds are Communist Demonrats (and so, for that matter, are their RINO Communist allies). Time for a nice anti-Derp Blue Conservative tsunami that sends all these REDS straight to perdition.

It's a losing argument. Even if it's valid. The reason I brought up Al Gore.

The reason you brought up Manbearpig was to create a false argument/narrative.

You notably didn’t address the second paragraph, which is par for the course for you.

Trump could have handled the coronavirus taskforce better. Get rid of guys like Pence, Fauci and Birx. He did promote Atlas. Should have done that earlier.

But all of this is Monday Morning Quarterback. Even Tom Brady lost to Nick Foles.

I'm already looking to 2024. We have other guys. DeSantis. If he can't do it, we'll go with Pompeo or Youngkin.

Trump could’ve done this better, could’ve done that better. I don’t believe anyone could’ve handled it perfectly, given the lies and misinformation being fed by frauds like Fauci and Big Pharma. Gov. DeSantis did do a masterful job in his state... however, would he have been able or allowed to do nationally what he was able to do in Florida.

As I said, you’ve disregarded again my above second paragraph as to how ANY other Republican that isn’t a corrupt Derp State puppet (and even if they are, which would then make them the designated loser) who is going to be allowed to win a national election. They’ve already got their cheat machine in place in key locales and have perfected it 3 times in a row (2018, 2020, 2022). That’s not going to magically disappear.

As for other candidates, these are too green or no-go. Youngkin hasn’t demonstrated any substantial accomplishment to deserve being President. If he fails to hold the VA House and reclaim the gerrymandered VA Senate, that will prove the death knell for him.

As for Mike Pompeo, he is absolutely finished politically. His virtue signaling the warmongers to fight for the corrupt globalist regime in The Ukraine was the final straw. You may get a boner from globalist pimps rattling their sabres, but to the base of the GOP that wants NOTHING to do with The Ukraine or provoking a nuclear war with Russia, Pompeo’s position is viscerally offensive and demonstrably wrong. It’s no wonder that he jumped out of the race for President after announcing this suicidal position. President Trump should steer clear of offering him the position of dogcatcher in his 3rd term.

Also, we have to give credit to Kemp. He went ahead with the reopening in Georgia despite receiving a lot of criticism for doing it.

Trump did a lot of things right. He was terrific on the Supreme Court, the economy was strong. The world was at peace.

But Trump did not handle the response to covid very well. That created an opening for Biden to exploit. Who's the President today? Not Donald Trump.

I give no credit to Kemp. One of the most corrupt Governors in America, stood by while the election for President was stolen, but also made a deal with his Demonrat allies to have both Senate seats stolen in exchange for their not contesting the Governorship in 2022. Even a cursory glance at Georgia will indicate that the election results in the later year made absolutely no logical sense. Kemp, massively unpopular with the GOP base, should never have won either renomination or reelection in the general. That the entire GOP state ticket won with a Black Marxist of no moral character managed to magically win the Senate race was patently ludicrous. Of course, I’m sure you’ll come up with an excuse.

There was no “opening” for the Pedophile to exploit under any circumstances. President Trump had to turn people away from his public events. The Pedophile could hardly get anyone to turn up and spent most of his time hiding out in his home. Not the sign of anyone that was a serious candidate (and one whose nomination had to be fixed as well, the same situation the Butcheress of Benghazi was in back in 2016 when Bernie Sanders also had the nomination stolen in order to install her. She was always pretty toxic even to Demonrats, why she never got the nomination in 2008).

Of course, anyone with a brain knows the Pedo didn’t receive the votes of 81 million voters, the highest number of votes for a Presidential candidate in U.S. history (a fact that even his most ardent media admirers will NEVER mention, because even they realize the absurdity of the claim). I estimate that as many as 15 million votes were either outright fabricated or deliberately counted towards the Pedo. We know full well that had Trump fabricated such a number for himself, the media, the courts, everything between heaven and hell would’ve launched the largest investigation in history on planet earth to debunk voter fraud and sent countless individuals including President Trump to prison. Because, however, this is a Derp State puppet, we’ll never get a criminal investigation so long as they remain in power.

Saying “Who’s the President today ?” is like asking “Who’s got the money ?” after your bank was robbed by crooks. The crooks may have both the money and the Presidency, but neither by legitimate means.

I also see you dodged most every other thing I wrote in the prior post, especially how you think other Republicans can magically win the Presidency (non globalist warmongers, especially).

The leadership is as far removed from the base as one could possibly imagine. It helps to know most are in bed with the Demonrats and share the same disdain for Conservatives and patriots pledged to clean up this epic evil in Washington.

Zero’s Bitch Mitch has stood by while over a dozen Republican Senate seats were stolen by the Demonrats (since 2018 alone). He doesn’t care. Unless they’re Derp State puppets, he doesn’t want anyone challenging his authority over the party.

Sure. They don’t want people who are going to say stupid things and ruin such chances as the party has.

But Oz was moderate himself and wasn’t any kind of populist (unless hanging out with Oprah somehow makes a person a populist).

Other moderate candidates who got passed over weren’t necessarily likely to win either.

Everybody is looking for scapegoats and it isn’t hard to find them or make them.

DeSantis would probably have won. Biden's an old guy who was campaigning in the basement in his house. DeSantis would have been aggressive with that kind of messaging, putting Biden on the defensive.

I get that DeSantis is not as finely tuned as a political machine as Trump right now in the primaries. But Trump has been in the game longer than DeSantis so of course he has the advantage. It's still early so we'll see what happens. Anyway.

Back to your point. Okay. There was fraud.

Now I'm yelling "FRAUD". We're getting nowhere with it. So what's next?

The Red Wave was deliberately torpedoed by moderate GOPers. See, Lindsay Graham braying about how the first thing they would do is a nationwide ban on abortion during the run-up to the election. Deliberate fear-mongering to boost the Dem vote.

We didn't have much of a chance due to Roe vs Wade. The Democrats had an issue to demagogue on and it was easy for them to turn out their base in an non-presidential election year.

"DeSantis would probably have won. Biden's an old guy who was campaigning in the basement in his house. DeSantis would have been aggressive with that kind of messaging, putting Biden on the defensive."

Like Trump did 24/7 ? On what planet are you living ?

"I get that DeSantis is not as finely tuned as a political machine as Trump right now in the primaries. But Trump has been in the game longer than DeSantis so of course he has the advantage. It's still early so we'll see what happens. Anyway."

DeSantis isn't ready for 2024. The base supports the sitting President Trump and wants him to reclaim what was stolen from him. DeSantis has had time to make his case and it's not resonating.

"Back to your point. Okay. There was fraud."

Massive fraud. The largest ever seen in American history. A coup d'etat right in front of our faces.

Now I'm yelling "FRAUD". We're getting nowhere with it. So what's next?

Putting President Trump back in the office that was stolen from him. Investigating the overwhelming evidence of the stolen elections beginning with 2018 midterms. Prosecute and imprison all those responsible. Rinse and repeat until our elections are clean. Do you have a problem with that ?

Baloney. Same fraud they’ve been engaged in openly for three elections in a row since 2018.

If Trump wins the primaries, I'll vote for him. Where else will I go?

In that case, Trump will lose again in 2024. Then we'll go with DeSantis in 2028.

But I hope I'm wrong.
