An influencer-backed energy drink that has earned viral popularity among children is facing scrutiny from lawmakers and health experts over its potentially dangerous levels of caffeine.
On Sunday, Sen. Charles Schumer called on the Food and Drug Administration to investigate PRIME, a beverage brand founded by the YouTube stars Logan Paul and KSI that has become something of an obsession among the influencers’ legions of young followers.

It has more than Jolt Cola? LOL!
Just for background. IMHO, Logan Paul is a scammer of the first rank.
Coke cans are made of aluminum. I wasn’t aware that aluminum contained caffeine.
They shouldn’t compare it to Coca-Cola, but to Coffee.
https://www.medicinenet.com/how_much_caffeine_is_in_coke_compared_to_coffee/article.htm
Coca-Cola contains only 2.5-3 mg of caffeine per ounce
Diet Coke contains between 3.5-3.75 mg of caffeine per ounce, which is much less than coffee.
Table: Caffeine content of various beverages
Filtered coffee (125 mL/4.4 oz.)______85 mg (60-135)__
Coke (330 mL/11.6 oz.)_____________39 mg (30-48)____
So, this caffeinated drink only has less caffeine than two mugs of coffee.
The drink, like Logan Paul himself is nauseating.

The drink of programmers with deadlines!
Is he more nauseating, or less nauseating, than Sen. Schumer?
Be careful, you may rue Paul’s energy drink
If chuckles is against it I tend to be in favor of it.
I stopped at a convenience store to get gas, and saw they were selling 5-Hour Energy. I'd never tried it before. So I bought a bottle and took it to my car and drank it.
It turned me into a Kwisatz Haderach. I perceived time and space as I never had before. Took my psyche to places humans aren't prepared for.
God only knows what would happen if I tried a REAL energy drink.
Wants to be the next Russ Weiner.
Geez, that’s a real toss-up.

A few weeks ago I took 400 mg of caffeine (two tablets) and drank two medium fast food Diet Cokes at about the same time as an experiment to fight daytime sleepiness. No effect whatsoever. Remained sleepy. People’s sensitivity varies a lot.
According to Amazon, it has 200 mg. caffeine per can, which is equivalent to 2 cups of coffee.
Yup, and cramming for exams in Uni too.
He just needs to switch it from a drink to an injection & FDA will approve it.
Caffeine is technically among the ‘methylxanthines’. There are both natural methylxanthines and chemical analogues. I assure you that “caffeine” on the label denotes an ingredient which is shipped to the US by the TON in containers originating mostly in Chyna, created in a chemical process resulting in an analogue of natural caffeine.
This is because it is CHEAPER to manufacture; it is also absorbed differently than natural methylxanthines, many of which are derived from Green Tea (denoted as ‘green tea extract’ or the-like on the ingredients label).
“Caffeine can be chemically synthesized in many different ways. The main process involves the chemical synthesis of urea as a raw material which is then combined with different harsh chemicals such as methyl chloride and ethyl acetate. When caffeine is made synthetically, it is produced with a much higher concentrate and is absorbed much faster.”
Unfortunately, green tea extracts are overwhelmingly manufactured in Chyna as well.
Better to stick to beans and avoid all the other crap they put in the ‘energy drinks’...
