Liberal voters shouldn’t be allowed to escape the shitholes of their own creation, and contaminate the habitats of normals.

It has already happened in Georgia. You can thank a large number of people relocating from Chicago to Atlanta over the last 20 years for that.

A few points

For the first time, six fast-growing states in the South — Florida, Texas, Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee — are contributing more to the national GDP than the Northeast

No this is not the first time. People often don't realize - and it is usually omitted from the History books - but the Southeast was by far the richest region of the country in the early years of the Republic. It paid most of the taxes and the Northeast got most of the government largesse for at least the first 100 years of the Republic.

“We now have more employees in Texas than New York state. It shouldn’t have been that way,” JPMorgan Chase & Co. CEO Jamie Dimon said to Bloomberg TV on a swing through the South earlier this year.

Why not? Texas is bigger than New York. Its also been growing far faster economically for decades and decades. It also has much lower taxes. So why shouldn't your bank have been growing faster and employing more people there?

What happened in Colorado is very likely to happen in the new growth states of Florida, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.,/p>

I understand the sentiment and share in the disgust at what happened to Colorado (they could have included Virginia as well). That said, a majority of the people leaving places like California and New York and other blue states in recent years have been Leftugees. Far from colonizing and turning red states blue, they have turned purple states back to red and/or staved off blue takeovers of other states. They have been the exact opposite of earlier waves of immigrants from blue states. They are very unlikely to push for gun control in red states. In fact, we on the gun rights side of the argument have been steadily winning in recent years. Look at the spread of constitutional carry into now 26 states. Look at NC's repeal of its Jim Crow era pistol purchase permit law.

Being in the south can mean living in more rural/suburban environs or in large democrat run cities and there is a big difference. In Texas we have Houston, Dallas, Austin none of which I have any desire to live in but I do work in Houston. It’s a 43 mile one way drive from where I live in Galveston County and well worth the time. There is something about people being crammed together that makes them act differently than those with elbow room. You put too many rats in the same cage and they turn viscous. With work at home jobs becoming more prevalent the pressure on cities to maintain the level of government spending needed to manage the infrastructure and services is growling exponentially. That will cause more people to flee the cities. The Northeast may be feeling this migration more now but the way these democrat run cities in the south are going it is going to happen here too.

The only thing I can think of to ward off the wrong people is to do what Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature has done: enact sound laws and policies repugnant to liberals.

Florida has an official travel warning against it by one national liberal organization. California state government has a prohibition on traveling to Florida.

Recent reports indicate entire liberal families are fleeing the Gunshine State.

In the past year, for the first time ever, voter registration totals in Florida has flipped in favor of Republicans - by a lot. This is an indication that Florida is attracting the best of the best (at least best of the moderates) from northern latitudes.

Any state that enacts stern measures to protect children, and the pocketbooks of citizens, can expect to see a decline in unfavorable populations.

Who writes this garbage? I read the article twice and I still don’t see where the content matches the title of the article.
