Yes Abbott and other public officials will be charged with murder if somebody drowns in that river.
Even before that, I would not be shocked if an organization such as the ACLU files lawsuits over them taking that action.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - a couple of A-10 Warthogs would resolve this invasion very quickly, and with minimal enemy casualties.

Biden (his puppet-masters, actually) will file a lawsuit, claiming that the federal government has exclusive authority over international borders. The lawsuit will succeed, and the barriers will be removed.

Abbott and Texas are trying to save these dumbasses lives by keeping them out of the Rio Grande.
