The vast majority of Americans have never visited Washington DC. I would suggest...if they did, and viewed the entire landscape...the whole eastern part of town would be identified as something Mogadishu-like.
I lived/worked in Arlington, VA for 3.5 years. There was not a week that went by that I’d see some news piece...weird murder, or robbery, or assault.
