Not sure I fully trust any Afghan, but for heaven’s sake, if he’s forced to drive people around in DC, we should have sent him to France, where he’d be far safer (with or without riots).
I disagree with you on this, and I feel we owe it to them, if they were out in the field with our troops, to allow them to emigrate to the US and have a pathway to citizenship rather than leaving them to the tender mercies of the Taliban.
I felt much the same about South Vietnamese who helped us.
That said, your sentiments are not ungrounded. I get it. I just feel we should take the risk.
