With thousands of qualified residents in Chicago, it's highly doubtful that she would've been the lucky one to make it to congress or the senate. But, her chances would've been improved 100% if she had been born black.

Would Moochele be talked about if she didn't get automatically qualified by getting married to someone that did make it to Washington? Nope, she would be living in a Chicago ghetto with perhaps 4 or 5 kids, struggling to get by.

I was thinking of some of the dubious characters who have been elected to the Senate from Illinois in recent decades. Of course she wouldn't have had the "POC" advantage. What she was probably most suited for was to be a sleazy lawyer keeping other crooks out of prison. The country probably has a lot of people like Hillary doing just that who we have been spared from knowing about because they didn't marry a successful politician.

Michelle's family was pretty well off--she wouldn't be living in the ghetto even if she had not married Obama.
