Sweden is too secular to muzzle its people’s free speech. And, you forgot Hungary: Hungary has also opposed Sweden’s entry into NATO. And, last time I looked, Hungary is not a Moslem country. Rather, Hungary’s opposition to Sweden joining NATO is strictly secular in nature. Then, there’s that condition in the NATO protocol that precludes countries that are at war from joining NATO.

In any event, I am far more familiar with Turkey than you’ll ever be, kid. I spent 1971-1973 in Turkey. And I am on record here on FR saying Turkey has been playing the West and the East against each other for generations, with Turkey’s goal being to squeeze out of whichever side the best deal for Turkey. Turkey is about as untrustworthy as Russia is.
