I retired at age 55.
People need to get skills that people are willing to pay for.
This what I can do;
I’m a journeyman shipwright -I can fix and build boats.
Electronics Technician- Military trained I fix electronics.
Software engineer - Degree in computer science.
Electronics engineer - Boeing trained I’ve designed and certified my designs to the FAA for use on passenger aircraft.
Now if I wanted to,
I could get a job tomorrow.
None of my skills were easy to get.
that is the main point.
Too many people want to take the easy way
and end up with a BS occupation.
Then complain that they can’t get a job.
My advice is learn how to drive a truck.
Sadly you are needed back in the workforce as am I.
