This also reveals the lack of trust the public has in the government’s ability to remedy the problem. Everyone knows it will only make it worse by enabling more homelessness. The solution is in finding disincentives, not incentives to become homeless. When I was growing up, people worked so they would have food and shelter. Now they options.

Once again, absolutely no sympathy from me. Before you publicly whine, tell me how you have voted for the past 20 years. Tell me how many times you have gleefully agreed that Conservatives are racist haters.
It is so easy and so fulfilling to pretend you are saintly generous with other people’s money and you are so overwhelmingly compassionate when other places have to deal with the drug addicts or the hordes of illegal immigrants. Brings back the memory of talking to a Portland escapee 6 years ago here in Texas ... they are getting f—king crazy and I got out.
If the price drops enough, they will sell. Maybe to S. Koreans who vote right and know how to fight.
When your city is turning into a democrat hellhole you have to get out before everyone catches on to what’s happening.
I knew a woman who stayed too long in Rochester NY. Luckily she had sons who saved her and could afford to just dump the home for almost nothing. Same with Memphis... Soon to be same with San Francisco.
