I have no interest in an EV right now. And the interiors in Teslas are a definite turnoff. That said, anything that shows Musk as being successful is a stick in the eye to the leftists trying to undermine him because of Twitter.

I still don’t think Electric cars are at a place where they can efficiently replace a combustion engine. The problem is that some climates and territories will be safer with a gas tank that can be filled with a can, and years reliability are a known thing with Gas cars, whereas battery replacement is the most expensive thing for an electric car.

Also, these things are still a drain in carbon based energy.

In our Silicon Valley town, we are used to seeing Tesla cars all over the place for the last 15 years. Our across-the-street neighbor bought an original Tesla Roadster around 2010 and he still drives it occasionally.

At our summer place in North Idaho, Teslas were extremely rare until recently, but I'm seeing a lot more of them the past couple years. In fact, I spotted this near Coeur d'Alene a couple days ago which made me laugh...

Reading those total sales numbers, it sounds like Jeb Bush or Kamala Harris polling numbers in the primaries. And that's with the feds still offering rich people a tax break to buy an EV.

Maybe Biden should propose a reduction in student loans if you buy an EV, instead of an income tax break.
