The DeSantis campaign on Friday shared a video, now seen more than 18 million times, that labels Trump as "the politician who did more than any other Republican to celebrate" Pride month and criticizes him for saying at the 2016 Republican National Convention that he would do everything he could "to protect our LGBTQ citizens."
DeSantis' campaign contrasts Trump's record with his own. The video they shared touts the governor's support for controversial restrictions on LGBTQ people, particularly those who are transgender, including banning gender-affirming medical care for trans youth.
The new DeSantis video quickly drew bipartisan criticism from the LGBTQ community.
A spokesperson for DeSantis' campaign, Christina Pushaw, responded to Grennell's criticism on Twitter, writing on Friday: "Opposing the federal recognition of 'Pride Month' isn't 'homophobic.' We wouldn't support a month to celebrate straight people for sexual orientation, either... It's unnecessary, divisive, pandering. In a country as vast and diverse as the USA, identity politics is poison."

Instead, the desantis spokesperson pushaw, wants to mis-direct people from the desantis campaign being responsible for putting out the video, to how there shouldn't be a month long pride month.
Despite all the desantis supporters attempts to convince FR the video wasn't from or associated with the desantis campaign,
the campaign spokesperson didn't deny it was from their campaign, and didn't denounce it's content.
DeSantis is getting petty and desperate.
Next, he’ll be accusing Trump of being a closet democrat and of pinching little girls through their dresses and sniffing their hair.
I’m getting to the point where I might have to take back my comments about liking DeSantis. He’s getting close to being in Kamala territory as far as likeability.
Ergo - it’s from DeSantis or DeSantis approved.
Both sides in a cultural divide have to firmly take sides. (Wishy washy halfway doesn’t work.)
As: Yes to abortion or no to abortion.
Can’t be if the “pregnant person” (can’t use woman) is sort of mostly pregnant the “fetal tissue mass” can be somewhat “terminated” if not viable.
We were not allowed to declare “All lives matter” and “everyone should have equal rights”——just BLM and just persons of color get rights.
And old time legal immigrants used to say “I came from Italy (or Germany or Poland) but my family and I are proud Americans.” A thread here today said 100 Mexican flags were flying in protest by border crossers. No sign of love for America.
Oh good God.
Good God what?
The story isn’t true or DeGlobalist Campaign got caught lying?
Good
That amongst other reasons was why many conservatives were leary of Trump in 2015-2016.
I voted for him instead of Cruz simply because the Hildabeast had to be defeated and I thought Trump was most likely to do so.
BTW what we are seeing with Pride Month is far beyond what gay people I know are like. They don’t agree with a lot of it either. Especially the kiddie aspect.
Trump has clearly shown that he wants people treated equally, no matter what their race, religion, or genders and gender preferences.
However, the desantis campaign intended the video ad to associate Trump with the leftist, activist part of the lgbtq community that has taken over as the visible face of lgbtq, and thier kiddy grooming and predator behaviors, and other behaviors and actions such as the push for kids to change genders.
Trump has clearly not been in favor of that, and he’s constantly pushed back on being woke, hence his ‘everything woke goes to sh*t’.
RE: Trump.... he’s constantly pushed back on being woke.
Music to my ears.
Yes, in the last week Trump has gone all in on the Culture War and utterly destroying the left. Good, I want Trump 2.0.
Trump is (by far) the most LGBTQTIAA+ friendly Republican in history. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Just as the left sees them as useful tools, I guess they can be that for us. At lease a strategy to divide them.
I don’t see Trump promoting their cause, do you?
Yeah, his supporters seem to be in denial about who he is. Have been since 2015.
Seems DeSnakis protests to much.
Trump said, “maybe someone would come forward to accuse Ron of assaulting them - maybe a man.”
Time will tell.
David Rubin approves this message.

His policies say otherwise. On the contrary. He banned trans in the military and has pledged to re-institute said ban once re-elected. He has adamantly spoken out against men in women’s sports since the subject first became an issue and has pledged federal legislation to stop it.

From the article:
“The Trump administration rolled back requirements that made federal contractors prove they’re complying with [Obama era LGBTQ] protections, which makes it harder to track workplace discrimination against LGBTQ employees.
July 2017, the Department of Justice argued in court that federal civil rights law doesn’t prohibit employers from discriminating against workers based on sexual orientation.
The Trump administration argued to the Supreme Court in 2019 that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 doesn’t include sexual orientation or gender identity.
Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act bans employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin.”
Everybody’s a conservative unless they prefer progressive. Means absolutely zippo.
Conservative pederast.
Conservative gangbanger.
Conservative politician.
Conservative adulterer.
