South Africans are experiencing worsening blackouts as winter hits and the crisis is fuelling demands for political change in Africa's most-advanced economy.

But for hours on end, his battered, electric sewing machine sits idle. The power is off in Khayelitsha for eight or 10 hours almost every day. In South Africa they call it load-shedding. Mr Bambatha grimaces and admits his business is hanging by a thread. It is a story being replayed across the country.
In an already dysfunctional economy, with half of all young adults unemployed, load-shedding is a jobs killer.
"The government has been promising us a better life for years," says Mr Bambatha, surveying his potholed street, and a vista of corrugated shacks beyond. "Tell me, where is it?"

Wiseman Bambatha is waiting for the ANC to fulfil its promises
Do people need to be smacked up the side of their head with a 2 x 4??
Too bad to let SA go like that due to its strategic location and resources.
The question is - how wise a man is Wiseman Bambatha?
It was just SOOOOO important to get rid of the White government ...
SA was not “let go”. Like Rhodesia, SA was deliberately destroyed.
Yes, they do.
I went to the link and the picture at the top of the page says it all. Despite everything, most Black South Africaians think the problem is not giving enough “power to the people”. That is, “The People” can fix this. But, of course, they can’t.
SA still has a long way to go before it turns around. And maybe it never will. The solution is probably to have the Whites run things again, but the majority will never accept that. So look for SA to break up at some point.

Jimmy Carter played a significant role in that if I remember correctly. SA was one of the most stable economies back in the day. I believe that they were around #5 back then. Now they are somewhere between the toilet and the sewer.
We might could have had some influence but didn’t. Hence why I said let go. Mandela was hailed as a virtuous hero. He was head of a terrorist organization.
At least there are no whiteys running the place though.
He’s not very wise if his sewing machine sits idle for 14-16 hours a day when the power is being cut at night.
How many more centuries will whitey have to show them how to dig outhouses?
Or not allow a good man like Buthelezi to take over instead of the Commie Mandela.
This is how Socialism works. You go from the most productive economy in Africa to a third-World hell hole in less than a decade.
Most that can run their own generator. Having visited and with relatives in s africa it is in a steady decline. We should never forget the blessing of modern utilities on our lives.
Often more than once. Slow learners.
From 1st world to 5th world NWO ghetto country in a couple of short decades .... praises to Soros and his fellow NWO scum.
If bad results led to a drop in political support then Dems should be struggling in CA... oh, wait...
