Ukraine and everyone in NATO agrees the "counteroffensive" cannot succeed without Air Superiority.
Yet the counteroffensive is proceeding. And NATO is dragging their feet on pilot training and aircraft transfer.
If you were Z, what would you make of this?

Doesn’t the U.S. have something of a recent history of arming certain people, then later offing them?

Z needs to find a dictionary and look up “Perfidious Albion.”
Eventually his backers will “cut bait.”

How long does it take to train an F16 pilot? I thought they were winning and Russia was losing ground?

What I make of it is that America and NATO are fairly certain that Russian air defenses would kill a lot of planes. The Russians have been working on countering stealth aircraft since the Gulf War 1 and have had 32 years or so to develop countermeasures.

I would rightly conclude that Ukraine is getting f*cked by grifters with no intention of helping them to “win” anytime soon, despite the dollars being sent.

Soon they will not need the Advanced weapons that people running Biden are delaying g be ause they wont have enough of a military left to use them effectively.

3-4 months training last I heard - 3 if they are familiar with the English terms for things.
The UA is gaining ground using infantry mostly - however Combined Arms Maneuver requires air cover, and the UA does not have enough planes - plus, they are vastly inferior to Russia’s SU35s. So the UA planes have to stay well back from the FEBA to survive.
Moreover it has become clear in the past few days that without F-16s, the goals set cannot be achieved. Using their Western tanks and IFV would be wasted as they are always used in the West with air cover.
The goals cannot be achieved until next Spring-Summer without the planes. Short of a miracle.

They’re doing it because you don’t jump from a MIG29 to an F16. Its 6-12 months of training. By then the war will be over.

They will have F16 pilots with years of training by the time the planes roll to a stop in Ukraine. They may even have proper Ukraine flight suits on.
Same deal as Soviet pilots flying Migs in Viet Nam, only rolls are reversed this time.

Ukraine and everyone in NATO agrees the "counteroffensive" cannot succeed without Air Superiority.
There are degrees of "air superiority." Total air supremacy for Ukraine would mean destroying all Russian aircraft in Ukraine as well as all Russian air defense systems in Ukraine. The US and Ukraine have a long way to go before that is achieved.
And NATO is dragging their feet on pilot training and aircraft transfer.
Supplying F-16s to Ukraine has run into major obstacles. The US air force does not want to train Ukrainian pilots in the US and the US is now figuring out that NATO countries do not have all the resources to the train the pilots, particularly simulators.
And then there's the basing of F-16s. Poland, Hungary, and now Rumania have rejected basing F-16s for use in Ukraine. And Ukraine airfields and runways are considered inadequate for F-16 operations, where they would also be vulnerable to Russian missile and drone attacks.

I would right conclude that Z is a little jerk who needs to be cut loose from USA money. Billions to Ukraine while poor American families can’t afford groceries anymore?

Forget it. It takes two years for the US to train an F-16 pilot. The US and NATO agreed that training time could be shortened to one year for Ukrainian pilots, but now this is up in the air.
One of the several reasons the counteroffensive went so badly for Ukraine is that the Ukrainians were not adequately trained on the tanks and armored vehicles they received from the US and Europe.
