I would tell them to go ahead and default, and good luck repairing your credit afterwards.
My thoughts exactly.
can you default on student loans?....I thought you could not...
Banks are truly unforgiving when you try to “punish” them by not paying back what you owe them.
Interest on loans and service fees are banks’ only source of revenue.
Whoever gives advice to default is NOT being your friend.
“I would tell them to go ahead and default, and good luck repairing your credit afterwards.”
You are delusional.
Student loan debtors are a core Democratic group. They will be protected.
You are assuming they will be treated like a conservative group that deliberately defaults.
Did you not notice the differential treatment of 2020 rioters vs Jan 6 people ?
They have 12 months to play the game. Biden put into place a forbidden rule that companies cannot send to collections for 12 months or effect credit scores.
A question on every job application should be regarding student loans by asking the applicant whether they have any outstanding loans. This is then verified along with their payment progress/history. If the applicant lied on the application by answering “no”, then the applicant is denied the job. If the applicant hasn’t been paying the loans back, the applicant is again denied the job for that reason.
Yeah, welch on the loan and let me know how that works out for you.
Congress can authorize billions and billions for Ukraine but....just sayin.
Remember, the government is involved with the loans. Much nastier things can happen to someone who defaults
Problem is they cannot be discharged in Bankruptcy so you’re ruining your credit for nothing, it stays there no matter what.
good luck repairing your credit afterwards.

The credit based money system will fall, sooner or later.
Why not start here?
Soon your credit score will reflect only if you have the correct politics or not.
The average person has something like 55K in credit card debt and more than half of Americans couldn’t afford a $400 emergency. A lot of people are going to be defaulting on just about everything.
