What’s really profitable getting those ‘meat by-product’ scraps that no one else dares use and reconstituting and ‘rebranding’ them as ‘lab-grown’.

These people are delusional. The plant and soy based artificial meats have failed in the marketplace. I don’t see this lab grown “meat” to do any better. At least in this country, suppression of traditional agriculture and livestock production will be extremely difficult, especially in the red states. Politically speaking, it will not be done with a national election coming upon 17 months. After 2025, assuming Biden or some other Democrat wins and the Democrats retain the Senate and retake the House, watch out!

These aren't animals. It's lab grown tissue using stem cells. In all likelihood lab grown tissue is even better/safer than the real thing because they aren't subject to constraints that live animals are.

I knew a guy who ran IT for, if recall, Lyke’s Brothers. At the time he worked there, about twenty plus years ago, they processed some 12 million chickens per day, for 360 days a year. They wasted nothing. Everything was used for something.
The idea that some upstart business can come along and compete is ridiculous. The efficiencies of the existing business are fantastic. The only way a newcomer can compete is to get the existing business regulated so the existing business costs go up higher than the new upstart business. Expect a big move to ban raising chickens just like they are trying to ban crates for pigs. (Pigs eat their young. Hence the crates.)

Haven’t you noticed the ribbons of particles that they’re spraying into the atmosphere?
