I’m just watching like everyone else. I don’t care who wins or loses. But it does bother me that our country is antagonizing Russia. I don’t even understand why NATO still exists since the soviet union and the warsaw pact are a thing of the past.
Russia is on the decline. In 20 years it will have 15 million fewer citizens and half the population will be Muslim. They are no threat to us if we leave them be. Now if Joe Biden does something like send in troops to defend part of Ukraine from Russia.....all bets are off. And for what? Russian and Ukraine are the two most corrupt countries in Europe. Should we defend one corrupt country against the other? Meanwhile should the Chinese invade Taiwan our stock of munitions has been severely depleted because of our support for Ukraine. Thanks Uncle Joe!
And while Ukraine has no strategic importance to America, Taiwan surely does.
Correct. But we promised Ukraine that we will support them and that we have their back according to the Bucharest Memorandum. It's the right thing to do.
