Does anyone think the money for “homeless programs” is for those that are homeless and to solve that problem? Of course it isn’t. Those programs are to get funding into the coffers so that elected officials, their relatives, and other properly “connected” people can obtain government funded money deposited into their accounts each month.
Doing away with those programs would cause great financial harm for those that live on the “Hill” and dependent on that money to fund their lifestyles.

The poli’s want homelessness to keep existing. It makes voters want someone to “fix” the problem. The poli’s represent that they will....get bonds voted on, and use the money to enrich their housing developer friends and the governmental social service sectors. Those people in return give the poli’s perks($). Meanwhile the poli’s never enforce drug laws, public health laws, or try and solve the problems. It’s a racket. Solve the drug and mental health problems.

I started putting out a handful of peanuts for them every day. Before long I had 20 squirrels in my yard. There was a lesson worth learning in that.

But they all love the lifestyle. Stupid liberals virtue signal by giving them money, blankets, food. And when an addict or alcoholic scores their drug of choice, they share. It's their socialization.
