Why is anybody surprised at the continued abominations re the catholics? Seriously? There's a reason that commentators (who subscribe to the "Historical" interpretation of Revelation) say that the "Jezebel" of Revelation 2:20 is the catholic "church."

Rev 2:20: Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

That was enough, as they say, “to piss off the Pope”.

Why not welcome him. When you believe you are above scripture and God’s word, that you can change it (The Sabbath to Sunday as an example) then Christ isn’t your God. He’s your competitor. He’s on the other team.

I have seen the Vatican’s Gallery of Contemporary Art, and both times, after navigating the crowded galleries of the magnificent Vatican Museum, I was surprised by the almost empty Contemporary Gallery. After seeing the masters, the artwork in it seemed silly and shallow.

Is the Pope Catholic?

Seriously.

There are good people in the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, just like our government, the bad people have control.

Bergoglio is to the Church, as Joe Biden is to this country.

Coincidence? Perhaps not.

Don’t see anything about punching in Mark or any of the synoptic gospels (minor differences)

And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’” But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.

— Mark 5:25–34

I wonder if Andres Serrano had put a painting of Mohammad in a jar of urine he would still be alive today?

Nut bar is too kind. Given how *totally* different his comments and rulings are from what I was taught 60 years ago in Catholic schools I’m very much inclined to think of him as depraved.

She grabbed his hand suddenly. He didn’t like that apparently. I wonder what Jesus would have done, the Pope supposedly being his representative here on Earth while He is away preparing a place for us.

It didn't look like she meant to harm him...and it didn't look like what she did would have caused him any pain or injury.

Pope John Paul II forgave the man who almost killed him. This Pope angrily slapped a woman who looked like she was just trying to show him love and respect.

Yeah, but I don’t want to compare the two. I have too much respect for JPII.

Pope Francis is to the Roman Catholic Church what Mulvaney is to Bud Light.
