I would believe “foreign actors” encouraged the rebellion with offers of massive cash support and assurances russian military would also come on board. When it didn’t happen the poor guy realized he was on his own against the Russian government and thought to get out while he could.

Except what does that say to the Russian Air Force...?

5. So now deep state - is the threat on Kiev a distraction that can be ignored - inviting attack from that direction, or do you weaken forces along the current front and weaken that.
