Looks like a lot is going to happen to loud mouthed Mr. Prigozhin soon. Putin will not give him a chance to redeem himself in his war on Keiv. that way Wagner can’t change sides to a better paying USA.
If Putin wants to survive, he'll need to pull Russian troops out of Ukraine and pull a Stalin at home. So his rivals will be eliminated before they think of trying to overthrow him. It worked for Stalin. Putin is losing some of that power. He runs the country on fear. So he needs to make his people fear him again.
It depends. War makes strange bedfellows. If Putin thinks he needs Wagner group in Ukraine, he’d broker a deal and let the Ukes weaken them in battle.
I had read something late last week that Wagner group accused Russia of bombing their positions. I don’t recall the details but if true, something happened before Wagner decided to turn on Moscow.
Of course, this is likely to turn out differently than anyone expects.
