Bush can’t claim that
Nixon can’t claim that
Hell even Reagan can’t claim that
But yes the only politician in nearly 100 years who gained 17% support after 4 years in the White House was a net negative (eye roll)

Problem is that’s meaningless. It’s the % of the electorate that counts. And in both cases, Trump lost the popular vote. (Ignoring if there was any fraud.)

It’s almost like there was COVID and mail-in voting that made the 2020 presidential election have the highest turnout percentage since the 1900 one between William McKinley and William Jennings Bryan.
There’s a reason beyond simple population growth that Joe Biden and Donald Trump hold the #1 and #2 records for most votes ever received from that same year.
