I don’t think he wants to retire. He wants to win again he just knows he’s like to be retired. If he wanted to retire he would have voted with his conscience more and his party less. Of course, his conscience seems to be about winning. His votes on the green inflation junk was strong-arm politics; he probably cut a deal with the party and Schumer will likely throw some extra money his to try to help him keep the seat. But he should have known they would double cross him.
Please tell me more about this mythical thing called "Joe Manchin's Conscience". I'm only a West Virginian, so perhaps I can be forgiven for not knowing much about it ...
