I am on a low carb diet in part because bacon is an important part of it.
I’m on a no sugar/low carb regimen, but ‘splurge’ once in a while, and bacon is included.
I was raised on a farm in So Wisconsin.
Families all around us-—& our family ==used bacon every single day.
Many smoked-—drank Jim Beam or other whiskey and worked from dawn to dusk running their farms-—NO CABS or lights on tractors in those days...
MOST lived to a ripe old age-—into their 80’s & still milking cows 2 times a day. Hitching the draft team to the manure spreader in the winter because the tractor would get stuck-—But Beauty & Lindy never got stuck !!!!
They also ate alot of eggs that they raised.
ALL ere more fit physically than the consumers of today.
