San Francisco’s Biggest Population Losses: Ages 25-34
Breitbart ^ | 06/22/2023 | JOEL B. POLLAK

San Francisco lost a higher percentage of residents during the pandemic between the ages of 25 and 29 than any other population group, followed closely by residents between the ages of 30 and 34, Census data show.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the city’s biggest percentage losses were among the age cohort that makes up the bulk of entry-level jobs — and that is also responsible for starting young families:

Newly-released U.S. census data shows that the city’s biggest population losses from 2020 to 2022 came from residents in their late 20s and early 30s.

The data shows that the number of San Franciscans ages 25 to 29 dropped from 94,000 in April 2020 to 74,000 in June 2022, a 21% decrease. The second largest decline was among 30- to 34-year-olds, going from 105,000 in 2020 to just under 88,000 in 2022, a 16% decrease. The third greatest decrease was among 0- to 4-years olds.

My question is where are they moving to?

My sister tells me they're contaminating much of Arizona.

Visited SF about 15 years ago. A beautiful city and the thing I noticed was there were no children. So, I knew this was not good long term as the city was dying. Any young people were having dogs and not kids.

Right now the city can be likened to the skyscraper that is sinking that that they cannot stop. Eventually, it will fall over or they will have to destroy it.

Sing with Tony --- "I left my job in San Francisco...."

We need to remember that Mayor London Breed said of San Francisco's growing problems that Joe Biden is "not doing enough" to help the city. Yup. Old Joe's fault.

Families with kids have been fleeing SF for decades.

Deep State is cool with that.

Intact nuclear families ate a threat to Deep State.

The elites aka Deep State thugs who control Gay Frisco are very pleased.

Their target age group to destroy, are either leaving or dying.

This master plan is a lot safer for these elites, than the other big blue cities in America, like Chicago, NYC, New Orleans, DC, LA, Baltimore _____________(fill in the blank!)

Wouldn’t be surprised if this age group was suffering losses, nationwide.

“A bunch came to TX and ...”

Fortunately most gravitated to Austin which is already ‘blue’ so no real harm done there. The worst thing they bring is huge amounts of money. They are paying over full price for real estate and driving prices up for everyone.

I am trying to find the raw data this story is based on. The Brietbart article cites the San Francisco Chronicle, but they like a lot of media outlets are starting to prohibit ad blockers. They also tend to require sign up after one article.

I went to the census bureau and downloaded the “Cumulative Estimates of Resident Population Change for Incorporated Places of 50,000 or More in 2020, Ranked by Percent Change: April 1, 2020 to July 1, 2022” which shows the population change from 2020 to 2022 of the 796 largest cities and towns and percentage change.

I did a search for San Francisco to find it was dead last at 796 with a -7.5% decrease totaling -65,522. The population of San Francisco in April 2020 was 873,959. Today it it is estimated at 808,437, which is 3,000 more than their 2010 population estimate.

New York City was 4th from the bottom with a 5.3% loss.

No young person can buy a home. $800,000 for a small home on .25 acre lot that needs fixing up. Very expensive utilities as well. Crime is supported by the democrat party.
