“ Kari might be a strong Veep running mate”

That’s the reason I posted this. Is she really ? What does she bring to the table other than a mindset she’s been wronged, which she has, and is now entitled to be his running mate ? What in her skillset or experience qualifies her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency? I am not anti Kari. I voted for her. Just asking.

Quotes from Wikipedia:

Lake was a member of the Republican Party until November 3, 2006, when she changed her registration to become an independent. She registered as a Democrat on January 4, 2008, the day after the Iowa Democratic presidential caucuses were won by Obama.Lake returned to being a Republican on January 31, 2012. She explained leaving the Republican Party in 2006 as a reaction to the then-ongoing Iraq and Afghanistan wars. She had supported John Kerry in 2004 and Barack Obama in 2008. She also made several donations to Democratic presidential candidates. After launching her campaign for governor in 2021, Lake cited Trump, Ronald Reagan, and Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward, all former Democrats, as precedent for her party-switching.

Lake said: “We drove a stake through the heart of the McCain machine”. Later in early November, Lake participated in a campaign event where she told “McCain Republicans” to “get the hell out!” Lake also called the traditional Republican Party “the party of McCain”, and then stated: “Boy, Arizona has delivered some losers, haven’t they?” Her statements were in contrast to her past description of John McCain (Arizona’s former Republican Senator) four years earlier, after his death, as “courageous”, “a war hero, icon and a force to be reckoned with”.

Lake grew up as a Catholic. She previously identified as a Buddhist before 2015 according to her friends. As of 2022, she identified as a evangelical Christian.

She would bring unquestioned loyalty, plus she’s sharp as a tack. If she’s elected president in’29, she would continue Trump’s programs.

She seems to be pretty impressive:

https://karilake.com/issues

“We’re going to get back to teaching American history, not anti-American history. That doesn’t mean ignoring our flaws, but it does mean standing up to the revisionist attacks on the past progressives are using to promote their ideology.

“Instead, kids need real, quality education that starts with the basics and ensures students have a complete grasp of them, before moving on to the advanced learning they need to succeed in a high-tech, fast paced world. Schools, and students, must be held to the highest standard, and the excuses for not doing so need to stop, also.

“As Governor, I will ensure that our schools have the resources and support they need to give our kids their very best chance at a lifetime of success. I will ensure that parents have every available option to give their kids the best education possible – great public schools, great charter schools, great technical schools, and real support for homeschool parents.”

I now see your insightful take on Kari Lake, who I personally believe should be Arizona’s Governor right now—what with all of the election day snafus that have been exposed.
As for her qualifications for office, I feel her experience as a news anchor makes her quite effective as far as conveying her belief in MAGA principles and she does possess considerable charisma. Still, I doubt she’s exactly ready for the second highest office in the land as her first elected job.

Personally, my top preference for PDJT’s running mate is Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, who is thee only candidate from a key electoral battleground state who would make a significant difference.

Again, thinking of Lake, I hope she’ll be a powerful surrogate speaker on the 2024 trail for PDJT. It would also be great if she’d be on the ballot again in Arizona, running against Sinema for the Senate.

It hasn’t been that long ago that Kari Lake contributed to and was a supporter of Barack Obama.
