Former Special Counsel John Durham on Wednesday said FBI agents had “apologized” to him for the Crossfire Hurricane investigation into former President Donald Trump and his campaign from 2016 to 2019, per his testimony to the House Judiciary Committee.
Durham, who was appointed Special Counsel to investigate the origins of the investigation into Trump’s campaign – which later revealed that Trump had not colluded with Russia to win the election – interviewed FBI agents who were involved in the investigation. Those FBI agents were ashamed of their work on the investigation, according to Durham, who also said that several other agents had apologized to him for the FBI’s conduct.

These were probably low level agents who were too afraid of ending their careers, so they were good little Nazis and “just followed orders.”
Ok, carry-on then.
Exactly! Why not apologize to the victim here? Trump and his associates and family were the ones wronged.
Reminds me of how everyone was saying how Don Lemon needed to apologize to various groups about saying women over 50 were over the hill (or something like that), when discussing Nikki Haley. I think he did apologize, to everyone but her!
That’s right.
Gosh I’m sorry I sawed off both your legs and tricked you into killing your mother. I apologize./GFYS, G-men.
So, they confessed to a crime?
Does that excuse them from being indicted, if they know that that what they were doing was illegal?
How many criminals get forgiven if they confess to their crimes?
That’s what I’d like to know!
Rep Spatz ultimately asked if CHS (confidential human source) 1 was penalized for lying by saying that Carter Page said that he had met with a Russian agent earlier in the year (2016 I think). Durham checked his report and said his committee listened to the tape and Page did not say that. They were running short on time and the Democrats asked the chairman to move on, so the question of penalty was never answered.
Apologies come from the soul & the heart.
A Cover Your Ass apology is not worth the breath to speak it.
Thanks. I couldn’t understand her one bit.
LOL.
The Gestapo no doubt had many people who regretted some of the “excesses” of their managers.
No one will be held accountable. If they need a scapegoat, it will probably be some low-level staffer with no friends in the departments who can be offered as a throwaway.
This government has gone beyond parody into travesty. For a citizen to watch this farce and be asked to believe in the righteousness of the examiners, the questioners, and the audience in the chamber is Kafkaesque.
It is nauseating and infuriating, and shows just how helpless we are.
RIGHT!
Where is the payback?
I want revenge! Orange jumpsuits! Large fines! Long prison terms!
Every single American was harmed. Especially those who had dedicated their lives and careers to Federal law enforcement, who had their reputations indirectly tarnished.
Apologize?
Selfish jerks.
Fite them.
Selfish jerks
I watched about a minute of it. Schiff was talking about some document which (according to him) indicated Russian collusion with the Trump campaign and Durham appeared unfamiliar with the supposed document. I don’t know if Schiff invented the document out of thin air or just misrepresented its import.
Screw what the Dems wanted. Isn’t this in the House? Isn’t the GOP in charge?
